Welcome to my ePortfolio page!
And now, a little about me...
I am a junior writing and English double major at Ithaca College, concentrating in Expository/Nonfiction. On campus I work as a peer tutor at Ithaca College's Writing Center, assisting other students with papers of all kinds and helping them improve their writing skills. I am also a Writer/Editor for on-campus magazine Fuse. At Fuse I edit articles other students have submitted, and also write features of my own. On the left, there is a link to both my profile at the Writing Center and at Fuse.
My nonfiction writing concentrates primarily on argument and political issues. My more informal writing comes in the form of blogging. My creative writing contains some short works of fiction and personal essay. Under the link at the left entitled "Documents" there is a collection of my work, grouped by genre, or in the case of published pieces, by publication.
My career goals include working in the nonfiction writing field, concentrating in feature writing and editing for a magazine or newspaper. I plan to attend graduate school to obtain my Ph.D in English and my MFA in Creative Nonfiction Writing, and eventually hold a professorship at an accredited college or university teaching writing. I also plan to write and publish my works of creative nonfiction, particularly in the genre of memoir and literary/personal essay.
